I was really good at junior school, passed the eleven plus with my balsa wood model and a few sums. But boy did I have a shock at grammar school; soon I was feeling the twang of the cane on my backside. I thought it best not to go too often, especially to French, which I was completely useless at. Anyway I started writing my own 'Christopher's not been well' absence slips, and as they say 'The show was on the road'. No GCE's then, quite a let down I expect after so much early promise, and then to start growing long hair and listening to that Pink Floyd music, such a waste, such a waste. I became an apprentice electrician, then an electrical engineer, then someone put me behind a drawing board and called me a 'project' manager...long before it was fashionable Soon someone offered me a company car and before you know it I was out on the road spurting out ill thought promises, to people I hardly knew If you have had enough of this and want to read some poetry why don't you try Poems of Paintings O you're back already; what did you think...
